About Me

Hey there!

I am a Year 3 undergraduate studying Computer Science at the National University of Singapore.

As mentioned, I am an aspiring UX/Product designer. At the same time, I am a creative, having a sizable amount of experience in content creation, particularly photography and videography. During my free time, I like to pursue my other hobbies, which include gaming, fitness, finance as well as entrepreneurship.

Currently, I am awaiting my graduation which is around May 2022 / Dec 2022, as well as a worthy opponent in Mario Kart.

My UI/UX Design Journey

It all started around 2018, when I got ahold and played a particularly nifty game called Persona 5. I remember being really intrigued at the intricate yet distinctly unique UI Design that was prevalent throughout the whole game. Despite the jarring and rule-breaking behaviour of some of the designs, it just worked so well for the nature of the game, and it left a deep impression on me. It was probably the first time I'd actually noticed and enjoyed opening up MENUS.

From then, I understood the power that superb UI/UX Design of a product could have on the experience of a player or a user, and that sparked off my interest in this field.

In 2020, I began to realize that although my background is largely technical on paper, innately I was more interested in design. That was when I started to focus on UI/UX design.

Up til now, I've worked on numerous software engineering projects and interaction design projects in school where I've acted as the main/sub UI/UX designer and part developer.

So Why Hire Me?

I would be first to admit that my on paper, my 'professional experience' in this field is lacking. But hol' up, let me pitch myself to you!

As a worker, I'm adaptable, and this is evidenced in the multitude of skills that I have come to learn on my own volition. In all honesty I would classify myself as more of a generalist than a specialist, as I'm pretty much interested in doing a lot of things. As mentioned on the homepage I'm also looking to take up project and product management roles in the future, and let's not to forget I'm always open to minor content creation responsibilities as well :)

I have a strong sense of responsibility, being my own biggest critic. I am also able to undertake roles independently if needed, being a resourceful person. I also love creating interpersonal connections with other people and I look forward to meeting different people that I can potentially be friends with. Lastly, I am laid back, talkative, with a self-deprecating sense of humour. I look forward to working with you!
